Quick Start

Getting started with Certman

Introduction

Certman is Enterprise Certificate Management System with support for any certificates. Various certification authorities can be created via a simple web UI. This establishes a chain of trust that can be used in your own infrastructure to implement various security measures. This allows you to quickly create certificates that can be used on web servers.

Certman has different versions:

Cloud

Use the managed solution in the cloud to focus on what is important.

Self-hosted

Choose your own installation with the Community Edition to ensure the security of your data yourself.

Create organization

When registering with an account, you will be asked to create your own unique organization. All certification authorities are assigned to and managed under this organization.

We recommend that you enter a general email address for your company, as this will be the owner of your organization, so to speak. Depending on which paid plan you choose, you can invite additional people, define groups and roles, and assign permissions.

All certificates are issued by our own certification authority. This means that the certificates are NOT issued and signed by a public certification authority such as LetsEncrypt or DigiCert. For this reason, you must ensure that all necessary clients, servers, and services trust the root CA that has been created.
